About the position

The IT Project Manager at BCforward is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of projects of moderate to high complexity across various departments. This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of project deliverables while managing risks and stakeholder communications. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide resources and facilitate collaboration among teams to meet client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables requiring engagement from multiple teams.
  • Communicates work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance with standards, and provides visibility into deliverables' health.
  • Ensures execution and delivery meet client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.
  • Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery, including kick-offs, status reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Facilitates dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for defined deliverables.
  • Promotes communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion and timeline.
  • Gathers status updates for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
  • Ensures execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards.
  • Supports resource planning for delivery and execution.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Accountability for developing plans to deliver future state approaches and facilitating implementation.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and solution design.
  • Strong presentation skills, including preparing compelling presentations for senior-level executives.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and proactively take initiative.
  • Executive presence and ability to lead meetings.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management standards and processes in a complex program environment.
  • Experience working in SOR development.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, Agile, and waterfall frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing projects in a hybrid work environment.
