The Senior Project Manager role in the IT PMO at Beacon Hill Staffing Group is a pivotal position responsible for the assessment and successful implementation of large-scale IT and Business Change projects. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the defined scope. A strong delivery focus is essential, as the Senior Project Manager will be tasked with establishing and managing the appropriate structures, governance, roles, and communication channels necessary for project success. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will develop and update project plans, budgets, and resource plans for project execution, as well as for business case submissions. This includes performing assessments and due diligence on business cases, which may involve vendor contracts, ensuring they are reviewed by other Project Managers or PMO leadership. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and proactively reporting on various project elements, including plans, budgets, scope, resources, project decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies. Maintaining and presenting project metrics to senior management is also a key responsibility. The position requires managing relationships and overall engagement with implementation partners, vendors, and all stakeholders involved in the projects. The Senior Project Manager will provide input on the overall business value of projects, leveraging their experience and knowledge to help the team achieve stated objectives, benefits, and return on investment (ROI). Additionally, the role involves advising on change management and adoption, as well as assisting in tracking post-implementation benefits as appropriate. The Senior Project Manager will also oversee the full handover to operational support and maintenance teams, ensuring that projects are fully closed out with all deliverables completed and approved. Active involvement in process improvement activities within the Project Management group is expected, along with providing coaching, mentoring, and personal development of others as required. The Senior Project Manager will manage projects of all sizes, including portfolios or programs if necessary, and may also be responsible for developing business cases when required.
