About the position

As an IT Project Manager at Acme Tools, you will play a crucial role in enhancing technology and its utilization through superior service and communication. This position requires a technical individual who is passionate about organization and detail-oriented work. You will be responsible for maintaining IT project plans in collaboration with IT leadership, defining project scope, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful project execution. Your role will involve working closely with various IT teams to plan and complete projects, determining necessary resources, and managing materials to assure successful project deliverables. You will communicate project scope, status updates, and changes with the internal IT team and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Maintaining detailed project schedules will be essential to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress while managing risks and mitigation tasks. Additionally, you will provide reporting and metrics related to IT project delivery and create and maintain project documentation as part of a complete project life cycle. Daily coordination with project teams will be necessary to ensure that team members have the tools and abilities to deliver on the mission of IT, which is to support all end users with a positive experience focused on correct and timely solutions. Responsibilities

  • Maintain IT project plans in collaboration with IT leadership.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for successful IT projects.
  • Work collaboratively with various IT teams to plan and complete projects.
  • Determine necessary project resources and manage materials for successful project deliverables.
  • Communicate project scope, status updates, and changes with internal IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • Provide reporting and metrics related to IT project delivery.
  • Create and maintain project documentation throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate daily with project teams to ensure team members have the necessary tools and abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IT project management with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project.
