About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Project Manager V for an opportunity in Plano, TX. This position is responsible for planning and driving the delivery of technology projects and small program deliverables, which requires the engagement of multiple teams. The IT Project Manager will be expected to communicate work objectives clearly, coordinate delivery across various teams, facilitate sync points, and provide end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. Additionally, the role involves managing project risks and ensuring compliance with established standards. Key deliverables include project status updates, executive summaries, project governance artifacts, and project financials. The job expectations include ensuring that the delivery meets the project's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost. The IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate routines to support delivery, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates. They will manage the coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to support the completion of deliverables within the timeline. The role also requires providing status updates to stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks, issues, and schedules. The IT Project Manager will work closely with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution aligns with deliverable requirements and will support resource planning for delivery and execution. Adherence to Enterprise Change Management standards is also a critical aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
  • Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Works with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
  • Supports resource planning for delivery and execution
  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Technology Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong knowledge of agile delivery
  • Strong knowledge of change management (tollgate, risk, issue, change controls)
  • Regulatory reporting and/or data technology projects knowledge is a plus
  • Strong executive communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership
  • Ability to negotiate with multiple parties and find acceptable compromise
  • Ability to manage in a time-constrained environment
  • Ability to structure a project, its tasks and its challenges clearly
