About the position

The IT Project Manager at NAVSUP Business Systems Center will oversee the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of IT processes and methodologies, as well as the ability to lead implementation activities and develop metrics for higher-level leadership. The position involves conducting in-depth analysis to resolve significant issues impacting supply support programs across various agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications/systems.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to resolve major problems impacting supply support programs.
• Lead implementation activities and develop metrics and reports for higher-level leadership.
• Coordinate requirements and conduct analytical studies to develop consolidated cost estimates.
• Monitor the progress of projects and ensure timely communication with management and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies throughout project milestones.

Requirements

• One year of information technology-related experience in the federal service or private/public sector demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, including developing and implementing product release plans and establishing IT policy.
• Experience in monitoring project progress and ensuring communication with management and stakeholders.
