About the position

The IT Project Manager at Med4Hire is responsible for leading and managing IT projects within a hybrid work environment in Richmond, VA. This role requires a hands-on approach to project management, ensuring successful completion of project phases while adhering to VDOT and VITA project management practices. The Project Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project budgets, and facilitate collaboration among technical teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team through the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management for successful project completion.
• Serve as a hands-on technical project manager coordinating with development staff and business groups.
• Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
• Facilitate multi-functional technical team collaboration.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in project execution and contract management.
• Adhere to VDOT and VITA project management practices and governance requirements.
• Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status, disseminating information to team members and customers.
• Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitating design workshops for assigned projects.
• Prepare test objectives, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects.
• Manage project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Define, measure, and communicate progress with project metrics.
• Support system and application training efforts.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience managing large MultiStream projects valued at $10M or greater.
• 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery (Networking, physical plant, vendor management, site provisioning).
• PMP Certification is required.
• 8 years of experience in both Scaled Agile and Waterfall Project Management.
• VITA Certification is highly desired.
• Agile Scrum Master Certification is desired.
• 8 years of experience managing projects with high visibility and high stakes.
• 8 years of experience managing projects that coordinated with at least one external team.
• 8 years of experience managing a project as part of a larger program and under PMO governance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Project Management, or Finance/Business.
