About the position

The Information Technology Project Manager position is a full-time role based in Salem, OR, requiring a strong background in technical infrastructure and application implementations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects related to server, network, and Active Directory (AD) systems. This role demands fluency in PMBoK© best practices and a self-reliant approach to utilizing project management tools effectively. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the migration of systems and services between service providers, working closely with internal subject matter experts to ensure a smooth transition. In this capacity, the Project Manager will oversee and report on all aspects of project activities, including milestones and performance metrics. This involves setting clear deadlines, assigning tasks, and continuously monitoring and summarizing the project's progress to the executive team. The role requires a proactive individual who can quickly adapt to the project environment and take the lead in driving project initiatives forward. The position encompasses a variety of duties, including project management, coordination, planning, consulting services, and quality assurance. The Project Manager will be tasked with ensuring the continued availability of mission-critical services while effectively managing project budgets and resources. This role is critical in ensuring that all project goals are met within the established timelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the migration of systems and services between service providers.
  • Report on all aspects of project activities, milestones, and performance metrics to the executive team.
  • Set project milestones and deadlines, and assign tasks to team members.
  • Monitor and summarize project progress regularly.
  • Plan, direct, organize, budget, monitor, control, evaluate, and manage the project.
  • Ensure continued availability of mission-critical services through quality checks and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of six (6) years as a software application Project Manager or eight (8) years of equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience with technical infrastructure (server/network/AD) and application implementations or re-hosting projects.
  • Fluency in PMBoK© best practices and project management tools.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and take the lead on driving projects.
