The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional project teams in the Springfield, MA area, managing project timelines, milestones, and dependencies while ensuring alignment with business strategies. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and manage project timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships to ensure project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC methodology for documentation and implementation.
  • Define and manage detailed project plans in MS Project.
  • Monitor and report on all project/program tasks and deliverables.
  • Manage project budget, approved funding, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Document and communicate project status to various audiences.
  • Hold project team accountable for delivering objectives on time and within budget.
  • Manage project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Lead the team through issue resolution to avoid schedule impacts.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to define and execute delivery plans.
  • Provide status updates to key stakeholders and gain recognition as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • PMP certification or similar; fluent with PMBOK methodology required.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies; CSM preferred but not required.
  • Strong background in project management tools, specifically MS Office Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services/insurance industry required.
  • 4+ years of IT experience managing large-sized IT programs or portfolios, including integrations.
  • 2+ years of vendor management and contract negotiations experience required.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing program/portfolio budgets.
