About the position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing technology-centric projects, focusing on process improvement, service enhancement, and ensuring project goals are met within time, cost, and performance parameters. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to navigate complex project environments effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support and work with the IT Department in managing projects or programs to ensure overall success.
  • Manage the technical aspects of all projects by understanding the processes and systems involved.
  • Bring order to unfamiliar project challenges and environments.
  • Define and develop project requirements, charter, scope, and plan, including schedule and budget.
  • Determine methods and procedures for project accomplishment.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of various projects.
  • Attend and present at prioritization committee meetings to define project priorities and requirements.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage them effectively.
  • Define, manage, and execute several projects concurrently.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams to ensure synergy in project actions.
  • Perform quality control throughout project development to maintain standards.
  • Motivate project team members to complete tasks on time.
  • Oversee the purchase and distribution of approved devices and software.
  • Maintain proficiency in systems application with specialized knowledge in computer analysis and programming.
  • Coordinate the implementation of consistent processes across projects and ensure execution per established processes.
  • Provide feedback to management on changing methodologies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules with routine updates.
  • Provide written project status reports to IT management and update in Wrike.
  • Maintain good working relationships with personnel from other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related area.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain within a year.
  • SCRUM Master certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Wrike or willingness to learn within six months.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing IT and Technical Projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum) preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of Wrike project management application is a plus.
  • Proficiency in various programming technologies and expertise in hardware and networking technologies.
