About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Program Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. The IT Program Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the end-to-end delivery of defined deliverables, which typically requires engagement from multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the project health of the deliverables. The role demands that execution and delivery meet the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost. The IT Program Manager will facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery and coordinate routines to support delivery, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates. They will also plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams, facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promoting and facilitating communication and collaboration across organizations to support the completion and timeline of deliverables is essential. The manager will be responsible for managing project financials and gathering status updates for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensuring that execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with sponsors and stakeholders is crucial, as is ensuring deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. The role also involves supporting resource planning for delivery and execution, interacting productively with team members across multiple locations and time zones, and presenting project health and status conditions clearly and concisely. Engagement with senior management and executive-level management may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, end-to-end management and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams
  • Communicating the work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the project health of the deliverables
  • Ensure execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline and cost
  • Facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery
  • Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery - e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams
  • Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables
  • Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Manage project financials

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a strong mix of technology delivery & business understanding
  • Good working experience in Agile environment and understanding of agile development methodology
  • Adaptable/flexible to respond to changing business demands
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving projects to completion
  • Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and skills required to perform the role as well as to understand the business and existing systems
  • Extremely organized and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Intermediate/Expert MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint), Jira, and SharePoint
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and delivery focused
  • Very good attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Good time management skills
