About the position

The IT Project Manager at Graton Resort & Casino will play a crucial role in a collaborative IT PMO, focusing on managing individual projects and vendor relationships to enhance the organization's technology strategy. This position involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and implementing project management strategies that prioritize quality and stability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life-cycle for technical operations projects, including eliciting scope and requirements from key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts and facilitate communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage a team of project managers and vendors, focusing on time and cost management of contractors/vendors.
  • Identify and manage project-related risks and dependencies to ensure quality and stability.
  • Support business stakeholders in achieving project goals and vetting the IT project pipeline.
  • Track project timelines and key milestones for IT resource planning.
  • Execute project planning processes for system upgrades, new implementations, and cyber security initiatives.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of IT project processes to meet project demands.
  • Conduct regular audits of each project to validate scope and manage scope creep.
  • Create, maintain, and organize technical documentation for all property information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience with Information Systems.
  • Strong foundation in leadership with a minimum of five years' experience managing or supervising individuals.
  • Five years of experience in IT project management with large scale implementations.
  • Experience with PMO and portfolio management preferred.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Deep knowledge of project management and collaboration tools.
  • PMP certification from PMI preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong understanding of predictive methodology is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft O/S, MS-Office, Visio, and project management tools.
