About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Project Manager IV (Change/Release Management) for an opportunity in Chicago, IL || Kennesaw, GA. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. This role involves communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. The IT Project Manager ensures that execution and delivery meet the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost. The position requires the coordination and facilitation of routines to support delivery, including kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates. The IT Project Manager will plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams, facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promoting and facilitating communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion and timeline is essential. The role also involves gathering and facilitating status updates for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. The IT Project Manager must ensure that execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working closely with sponsors and stakeholders, and that deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Additionally, the role supports resource planning for delivery and execution, functioning as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Agile / Scrum Master experience
• 5+ years of End-2-End Project/Release Management experience
• Strong Project Management Skills, ability to lead a team and drive to results
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Strong project financial management skills
• Guides projects through all phases, ensuring required standards and processes are followed
• Develops and manages to project plan
• Identifies, assigns, tracks, escalates, and resolves issues
• Schedules and facilitates regular meetings to review progress and status
• Ability to provide project status/metrics on deliverables or escalate issues to senior leaders and executives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
