The Senior Project Manager role in the IT PMO at Beacon Hill Staffing Group is pivotal for the assessment and successful implementation of large-scale IT and Business Change projects. This position demands a strong delivery focus, ensuring that all projects are completed within the defined timelines, budget, and scope. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the appropriate structures, governance, roles, and communication channels necessary for project success. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will develop and update project plans, budgets, and resource plans essential for project execution and business case submissions. They will perform thorough assessments and due diligence on business cases, including vendor contracts, ensuring that these documents are reviewed by other Project Managers or PMO leadership. The Senior Project Manager will also manage and proactively report on various project elements, including plans, budgets, scope, resources, project decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies. Presenting project metrics to senior management will be a key responsibility, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will manage relationships and overall engagement with implementation partners, vendors, and all stakeholders involved in the projects. They will provide valuable insights on overall project business value, leveraging their experience to help the team achieve stated objectives, benefits, and return on investment (ROI). The role also involves advising on change management and adoption, as well as assisting in tracking post-implementation benefits as appropriate. The Senior Project Manager will ensure a full handover to operational support and maintenance teams, guaranteeing that projects are completely closed out with all deliverables finalized and approved. They will actively participate in process improvement activities within the Project Management group and provide coaching, mentoring, and personal development to others as required. This role encompasses managing projects of all sizes, including portfolios or programs across all service lines, and may involve the development of business cases when necessary.
