About the position

The IT Project Manager at Oakland University is responsible for providing project management technology leadership in the design and implementation of IT solutions for various departments within Academic Affairs. This role involves overseeing technology staff, ensuring alignment with best practices, and maintaining security requirements for university servers. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as effective communication abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management technology leadership in the design and implementation of IT solutions for the Office of the Provost and other Academic Affairs areas.
• Lead and direct technology staff to ensure technical solutions align with best practices and the university's technology strategic plans.
• Design and maintain support for specialized academic HR technology solutions.
• Work with central IT (UTS) to maintain and meet security requirements for EVPAA servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of four (4) years' experience with enterprise relational database applications and web-database interface applications.
• Three years experience with web programming.
• Three years experience in leading technology teams.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
