About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an IT Project Manager for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves managing various regulatory, risk, and initiative projects, ensuring successful project delivery while collaborating with multiple teams. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for stakeholder communication, managing project timelines, and reporting on project health and status.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects for various regulatory, risk, and other initiative projects
  • Collaborate with teams across the Credit Risk Platform including Senior Technology managers, Senior Business Leads, Program Managers, and scrum masters
  • Ensure execution and delivery meets stakeholder expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost
  • Manage and communicate all RAID items (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
  • Formulate and execute delivery plans with clear communication of objectives
  • Manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliveries
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with project team members and stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities with other project managers
  • Complete required reporting and communications for program managers and governance routines
  • Provide program level reporting to track projects and deliverables
  • Update and coordinate changes needed for the enterprise PPRT tool
  • Complete various project/program decks and senior management presentations
  • Assist with horizontal and team-specific work as requested
  • Define norms/agreements and enforce them through adoption
  • Develop execution strategies/plans while tracking deliverables and milestones
  • Visualize, measure, and report project health using PMO tools and Agile indicators

Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven working experience in project management
  • Experience in working with Agile Development Methodology and Release Train teams
  • Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, and design
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong experience with work management tools like Jira, Confluence, GIT Hub
  • Strong working experience in change management standards and executive reporting
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience working with business and technology teams governed by regulatory requirements
  • Ability to provide input for financial planning with understanding of variances
  • Working knowledge of products, services, business flows, and financial context
  • Ability to comply with client standards for information security and business architectures
  • Prior experience and familiarity with Regulatory reporting
  • Experience with Hadoop or ability to learn quickly
  • Prior experience with client reporting tools such as JIRA, PPRT
