About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end management and delivery of complex projects within the financial industry. This role involves coordinating multiple teams, managing risks, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering projects that meet client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of moderate to high complexity within a single or multiple department(s) within a business unit
  • Manage, lead and direct the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project and/or organizationally aligned as direct reports
  • Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended project solution
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program
  • Communicate the work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, ensure compliance with standards, and provide end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables
  • Ensure execution and delivery meet the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost
  • Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery - e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables
  • Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor /stakeholders
  • Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards
  • Support resource planning for delivery/execution
  • Communicate and interact with stakeholders both vertically and horizontally to drive initiatives to conclusion
  • Accountable for developing plans to deliver future state approaches and facilitating the implementation
  • Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years experience
  • Works well independently with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor solutions to ensure deadlines are met and risks are addressed
  • Strong presentation skills, including preparing compelling presentations to senior-level executives
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and proactively take initiative
  • Executive presence and ability to lead meetings
  • Ability to influence senior leadership
  • Project Management Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of project management, standards, and processes in a complex program environment with multiple delivery partners
  • Experience working in SOR development
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Agile and waterfall frameworks
  • Strong sense of quality and commitment to interact with internal or external clients effectively and professionally
  • Proficient in problem analysis and solution design
