About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee project intake and financial management within the financial industry, ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of defined deliverables. This role requires collaboration across multiple teams and effective communication with stakeholders to manage risks, ensure compliance, and provide visibility into project health. The position is a 12+ month contract role based in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Project intake and financials management
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program
  • Communicate the work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, ensure compliance to standards, and provide end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables
  • Ensure execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline and cost
  • Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery - e.g., kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams
  • Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables
  • Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Gather/facilitate status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule
  • Ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders
  • Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards
  • Support resource planning for delivery/execution

Requirements

  • Experience in portfolio level functions supporting end to end oversight and program delivery
  • Experience enacting change continuous improvement leading teams through release planning readiness, developing, and documenting standards, and maintaining project communications
  • Excellent communication skills needed as candidate will be interacting across all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in JIRA and Confluence
