About the position

The IT Project Manager at Grant Leading Technology, LLC is responsible for managing IT projects, ensuring the development, modification, or enhancement of IT products, services, or systems. This role involves leading national-level projects for the IRS, requiring a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to communicate complex technical requirements effectively. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence at least once a week in Chamblee, GA, and operates within a structured schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
  • Identify software requirements and understand designs, integration, testing, deployments, and maintenance.
  • Apply new developments and make decisions that significantly influence important IT projects/programs.
  • Communicate complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel.
  • Create and present briefings to senior management officials on complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in consulting, program, or project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry software programs and financial management for project management.
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand and document business requirements.
  • Strong project management skills and knowledge of applicable software.
  • Technical understanding of technological changes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Time management skills to prioritize activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
  • Advanced Technical Credentials, e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile experience, CSM/PSM.
  • Background in systems/solutions like Cisco Unified Contact Center, Cloud Solutions, Natural Language Understanding, IVR, Data Analytics, PowerBI.
