About the position

Tempur Sealy is seeking an IT Project Manager to join their IT Program Management Office (PMO). This role involves overseeing key corporate business and IT initiatives, managing project teams, and ensuring successful collaboration across all levels of the organization. The IT Project Manager will utilize standard project management processes to lead diverse implementation teams and drive technology projects that align with the company's business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Define project objectives and ensure alignment with TSI enterprise business and IT strategies.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close enterprise-level projects and sub-projects following TSI PMO standard methodologies.
  • Inform management on project objectives and progress; escalate issues for prompt remediation.
  • Ensure clear processes and procedures are defined and executed during the project lifecycle.
  • Enable effective communication using standard tools and reporting rhythms.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams across multiple functional areas in a matrixed organization.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression.
  • Facilitate and coordinate test plans, training plans, and organizational change management initiatives.
  • Oversee external vendor relationships as necessary.
  • Facilitate reengineering of business processes and modifications to organizational roles.
  • Manage business and technology resources responsible for implementation, including data quality efforts for master data.
  • Serve as stakeholder advocate ensuring balanced decisions are made throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Teams, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Visio.
  • Proven experience managing and overseeing enterprise-wide projects and sub-projects.
  • Ability to closely manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and resources.
  • Adept in industry standard project management methodologies.
  • Previous successful ERP implementation experience or support of an ERP implementation desired; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Superb communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
