About the position

The IT Project Manager at Summit 7 Systems is responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT and cloud projects. This role ensures alignment with the company's strategic goals and requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with a proven track record in managing enterprise IT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management activities for IT security efforts, system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Chair working groups comprised of companywide stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure project milestones are met.
• Manage the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including scoping, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Act as a liaison between internal customers and internal teams to ensure project requirements are well understood and expectations are managed.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk registers.
• Coordinate resource allocation and ensure teams are properly staffed to deliver project goals within time, scope, and budget.
• Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential roadblocks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project deliverables align with compliance and security standards, particularly CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171.
• Foster client relationships and provide consistent communication regarding project updates, challenges, and successes.
• Facilitate project-related meetings, including daily standups, stakeholder reviews, and post-project retrospectives.
• Drive enterprise IT communication regarding enterprise project efforts and status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in cloud environments or with Microsoft solutions.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar project management software.
• Experience with ServiceNow SPM preferred.
