About the position

The IT Project Manager at Heritage Environmental is responsible for planning and implementing complex IT projects that support multiple businesses within the organization. This role focuses on delivering timely and quality IT services while improving business effectiveness and efficiency. The IT Project Manager will manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring stakeholder communication and addressing any potential issues that may arise during project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely at all times.
  • Assume responsibility for the company's systems and network infrastructure projects to ensure deliverables are stable, available, and reliable.
  • Partner with project sponsors to define project objectives, scope, schedule, and budget, establishing project charters and plans.
  • Lead and direct project teams to meet project objectives.
  • Identify and negotiate schedules, milestones, and resources required to meet project objectives and success criteria.
  • Interact with all levels of employees to visualize and understand IT-related problems and provide solutions.
  • Recommend new technologies and systems to improve the organization and various businesses.
  • Work regularly with IT employees, consultants, and programmers, both internal and external.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to project team members and others in Project Management roles.
  • Coordinate systems testing, installation, training, and support with client departments and stakeholders.
  • Report and communicate effectively to the Director of Strategic Technology regarding all aspects of assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in IT Technical support required.
  • Five (5) years of Project Management experience required.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with VOIP deployment is strongly desired.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience identifying and resolving issues independently.
  • Demonstrates accountability and sound personal judgment.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to gain alignment with different clients and represent a common point of view across multiple stakeholders.
  • Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • High level of self-awareness and desire to develop leadership capabilities.
