About the position

The IT Project Manager at Turion Space will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This position requires a proactive approach to managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with various stakeholders to implement technology solutions that align with the company's business objectives. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing detailed project plans that outline the scope, timeline, resources, and budget necessary for successful project completion. This includes defining project deliverables and milestones to track progress effectively. In the execution phase, the IT Project Manager will lead the project team, coordinating tasks and managing resources to ensure that all project deliverables meet the established quality standards. Effective communication with stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external vendors, is crucial. The IT Project Manager will provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or risks that may arise during the project lifecycle. Risk management is another critical aspect of this role, as the IT Project Manager will need to identify and mitigate project risks proactively. This includes allocating and managing resources, including team members and budgets, to ensure that project objectives are met. Comprehensive project documentation will be maintained, including plans, status reports, and post-project reviews, to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project. Quality assurance is also a key responsibility, ensuring that IT solutions are delivered according to specifications and meet the company's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects successfully, and will be well-versed in various project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects successfully.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience applying them in practice.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and project teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with experience managing large-scale IT projects or programs.
