About the position

The IT Project Manager position at the Department of Defense's Human Resources Directorate is responsible for overseeing strategic planning and implementation of Information Technology initiatives within the Technology and Data Support Division. The role involves collaborating with clients to define project scope, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing training and documentation to users. This position is critical in integrating HR policies and programs to support the Office of Chief Management Officer and the Director of Washington Headquarters Services.

Responsibilities

• Recommend possible IT software solutions to resolve issues for Programs and Program Managers.
• Provide product-related training and documentation to users.
• Collaborate with clients to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be registered or exempt from Selective Service for males born after 12-31-59.
• Must have IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
