The Senior Project Manager role in the IT PMO at Beacon Hill Staffing Group is a pivotal position responsible for the assessment and successful implementation of large-scale IT and Business Change projects. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the defined scope. A strong delivery focus is essential, as the Senior Project Manager will be tasked with establishing and managing the appropriate structures, governance, roles, and communication channels necessary for project success. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will develop and update project plans, budgets, and resource plans to facilitate effective project execution and support business case submissions. This includes performing thorough assessments and due diligence on business cases, which may involve vendor contracts, ensuring that these documents are reviewed by other Project Managers or PMO leadership. The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for managing and proactively reporting on various project elements, including plans, budgets, scope, resources, project decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies. Maintaining and presenting project metrics to senior management is a critical aspect of this role. The Senior Project Manager will manage relationships and overall engagement with implementation partners, vendors, and all stakeholders involved in the projects. They will provide valuable insights on the overall business value of projects, leveraging their experience and knowledge to help the team achieve stated objectives, benefits, and return on investment (ROI). Additionally, the role involves advising on change management and adoption strategies, as well as assisting in tracking post-implementation benefits as appropriate. A key responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is to ensure a full handover to operational support and maintenance teams, ensuring that projects are fully closed out with all deliverables completed and approved. The Senior Project Manager will also be actively involved in process improvement activities within the Project Management group and will provide coaching, mentoring, and personal development support to others as required. This role encompasses managing projects of all sizes, including portfolios or programs across all service lines, and may involve the development of business cases when necessary.
