About the position

The IT Project Manager will lead and manage software development projects for The Pap Group of companies, ensuring successful implementation by collaborating with business partners, internal development teams, and vendors. This role requires a deep understanding of business objectives and active involvement in project work to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages, tracks, and identifies project tasks, risks, and issues.
  • Responsible for follow up and resolution of risks and issues.
  • Defines contingency and mitigation plans.
  • Develops and updates project plans.
  • Facilitates estimating effort for project tasks.
  • Resolves issues and facilitates solutions.
  • Regularly communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Updates project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Establishes and adjusts priorities to achieve the best business outcomes.
  • Delivers end-to-end solution design with business partner alignment.
  • Brings project decisions to business partners and the project team, outlines options and facilitates decision-making.
  • Documents project decisions.
  • Collaborates with business partners, software developers, interface engineers and infrastructure teams and third-party partners to accomplish project objectives.
  • Delegates project tasks to appropriate resources.
  • Ensures high quality, on time deliverables.
  • Prepares outline and approach for required user training and collaborates with analysts and business partners to deliver training.
  • Leads acquisition projects to migrate data and infrastructure onto client platforms.
  • Updates and improves the acquisitions playbook.
  • Delivers high value business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant professional experience.
  • Strong people leading and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Collaborator with a customer-centric focus.
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and/or web-delivered applications.
  • Experience leading projects with code development, as well as configurations.
  • Strong project management experience in software development and/or infrastructure project management at a consultant level.
  • Experience leading people and evaluating teams.
  • Has managed projects from kick-off to go live.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of, or direct experience with, data conversions.
  • Understanding of, or direct experience with, core business functions such as eCommerce, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Sales, Purchasing and General Ledger.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Dealership functions, Rentals, Fleet Service, Vehicle sales and Parts sales counter processes.
