About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of IT hardware assembly projects across multiple facilities in the Maryland, Virginia, DC, and Pennsylvania areas, specifically supporting government operations. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, while also managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion. The position demands a strong leadership presence and the ability to navigate complex project requirements in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects throughout their life cycle based on customer defined requirements and processes.
  • Coordinate between customer contacts, team resources, direct team members, partners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on all aspects of the projects.
  • Manage, coordinate, and establish priorities for complete life cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of solutions designed to meet the project requirements.
  • Determine project needs and coordinate resources required for project success.
  • Design project plans which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
  • Oversee project team members and assign tasks and responsibilities.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to project team members; communicate job expectations; and plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
  • Plan, initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.
  • Secret security clearance.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Eight years of project management experience, preferably in the government sector.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies i.e., Agile, Scrum, Lean.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
