About the position

As an IT Project Manager at GenScript, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery and management of specified projects within the biotechnology sector. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of comprehensive implementation plans, coordinating contributions from cross-divisional and cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and ensuring that all project deliverables align with the proposed solutions and timelines. You will be tasked with creating and updating project plans and necessary documentation, while also engaging effectively with internal stakeholders such as Business Development, Program Management, and Regulatory teams to facilitate the development and delivery of consulting services. In this role, you will be responsible for presenting and reporting project progress to key stakeholders, managing their involvement and expectations throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be expected to demonstrate a keen awareness of identifying new revenue opportunities within existing clients, proactively liaising with internal stakeholders to support ongoing applications. Your strategic thinking and business acumen will be crucial in maximizing project value and focusing on commercial objectives, ensuring that the business remains competitive and successful. Additionally, you will contribute to the team's profitability goals by achieving billable time targets and delivering projects efficiently. You will also be involved in developing processes and infrastructure, such as training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to support the expansion of the team. Supporting other team members in project delivery and research will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the group's and the company's overall objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on delivery/project management of specified projects, including the development of implementation plans and coordination of contributions from cross-divisional and cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Ensure the delivery of services is in line with the proposed solution within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to the team's profitability goals by achieving billable time targets and delivering projects efficiently.
  • Create and update project plans and any required documentation.
  • Effectively engage and involve internal stakeholders during the development and delivery of consulting services.
  • Present/report back on project progress to key stakeholders and effectively manage internal stakeholder involvement and expectations.
  • Demonstrate awareness/capability of identifying new revenue opportunities within existing clients.
  • Proactively liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate actions are taken to support existing applications.
  • Understand client strategic needs and support business opportunities by liaising with appropriate SMEs in line with client needs.
  • Demonstrate good business acumen, understanding of project value maximization and focus on commercial objectives.
  • Develop processes and infrastructure to help lay the foundation for further expansion of the team.
  • Support other members of the team as necessary in project delivery, research, etc.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years relevant project management experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively project manage multiple projects and work to defined timescales.
  • Capable of coordinating project teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute to ideas generation.
  • A 'roll up your sleeves' mentality, deadline-focused, attention to detail.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; experienced networker and relationship builder.
  • A strategic thinker with an ability to drive implementation.
  • Prefer Bilingual (English, Mandarin).
