About the position

The IT Project Manager position at Neenah Foundry Company is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts necessary to define requirements, work processes, and outputs for hardware and/or software implementations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work closely with various business units to gather requirements, make informed recommendations, and effectively communicate finalized plans to Engineers and Developers. The IT Project Manager will be tasked with managing the scope, cost, schedule, vendors, and contractual deliverables of multiple projects concurrently, all while adhering to tight deadlines. In this role, the IT Project Manager will create both long and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources efficiently. Delegation of project tasks to the most suitable employees is essential, as is the identification and management of potential risks and liabilities associated with projects. The IT Project Manager will assist in defining project scope and goals, making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression. Serving as a point of contact for teams assigned to the same project, the IT Project Manager will ensure that team actions remain in synergy, performing quality control throughout the implementation phase to maintain expected standards. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for adjusting schedules and targets as needed, motivating team members to complete tasks on time, and creating communications suitable for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This position requires a strong understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework and various project management methodologies, such as agile and scrum, along with proven leadership, cost and risk management skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related curriculum required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology
  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum)
  • Proven leadership skills
