In this role, you will work directly with clients to ensure that tasks are managed effectively, empowering them through clear communication to achieve program goals and maintain quality standards. You will engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, analyze these requirements, and translate them into actionable project plans and milestones. Additionally, you will create realistic resource-loaded schedules to manage and report on project progress, and you will be responsible for writing and delivering executive-level communications and briefings. The position requires a proactive approach to project management, with an emphasis on anticipating, mitigating, and resolving risks and conflicts across various workstreams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, with the ability to work independently and lead a team effectively. A Secret clearance is required for this role, along with a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Translate larger program goals into well-designed project plans.
  • Assist clients in developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Manage tasks effectively to ensure program goals are achieved.
  • Engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements.
  • Analyze and translate IT requirements into project plans and milestones.
  • Create realistic resource-loaded schedules to manage and report progress.
  • Write and deliver executive leadership level communications and briefings.
  • Anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with IT project management.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering IT projects.
  • Experience developing program baselines and identifying program risks.
  • Knowledge of technical concepts, best practices, and developing client solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and help lead a team.
  • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governance.
  • Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance management to ensure projects support appropriate risk standards and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of vendor management to ensure alignment of vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements.
  • SAFe Program Consultant Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, Agile Project Delivery Management (APM), or Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification.
