About the position

The IT Project Manager at ABM Technology Group is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The IT Project Manager collaborates with engineers, stakeholders, and clients to drive successful project outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple IT projects, ensuring they progress efficiently and meet deadlines without daily supervision.
  • Oversee a variety of technology-focused projects, such as deploying Office 365, server replacements, and software upgrades.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining client satisfaction and managing client expectations.
  • Work closely with project engineers, adhering to ABM Technology Group's standards and processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation for client environments, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Offer training and guidance to client employees on using MSP-provided tools, applications, and security best practices.
  • Drive projects from discovery to completion, including occasional travel to client sites.
  • Provide exceptional service and contribute to project planning and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of project tasks and actively seek opportunities for technical improvement.
  • Work to continuously improve processes, templates, documentation, and other resources to level-up the project delivery process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in IT project management, preferably at a Managed Service Provider.
  • Strong project management, customer service, and administrative skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to interact with clients, understand their needs, and effectively convey technical information.
  • Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, virtualization, and software applications relevant to managed IT services.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to implement necessary security measures for client systems.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Capacity to quickly learn new technologies and adjust to varying client needs and environments.
  • Attention to detail when documenting configurations, processes, and client interactions.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge.
