About the position

The IT Project Manager at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for managing multiple Information Technology projects, ensuring they are completed within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost. This role involves proactive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical and business challenges, leading project teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to mentor and influence team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains project plans, ensuring all project requirements and objectives are documented and budgets managed.
  • Tracks and reports project or program status, ensuring risks are reviewed and mitigated, issues escalated and resolved, and changes documented and approved.
  • Ensures satisfactory transfer of 'Care Custody and Control' of product upon project completion.
  • Leads project staff, mentoring and influencing others on complex projects and assignments.
  • Collaborates with internal and external constituents, including suppliers, to meet common goals and resolve conflicting issues.
  • Applies subject matter expertise in the execution of assigned functional responsibilities, remaining current with industry trends.
  • Ensures department processes comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Interprets, refines, and applies methods and procedures in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a related area.
  • Relevant training or certification in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management techniques, processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing project plans, issue logs, and risk/mitigation strategies.
