About the position

We are seeking an IT Project Manager for a very important client, specifically supporting Pacemaker Software. This role involves managing day-to-day operations across four different programs, which includes conducting meetings, follow-up discussions, and potentially overseeing side projects. The position is designed for a mid-level project manager who will be responsible for the tactical aspects of project management, ensuring that all software delivery projects are executed effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, particularly in a waterfall setting, and will be expected to lead projects proactively. While IT experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The focus will be on managing software delivery projects that are computer IT-related, particularly those involving the building of new computer systems. Candidates should have consistent IT project management experience, with a clear career trajectory and no significant title changes that could indicate a lack of stability in their job history. This role is highly interpersonal, requiring excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The IT Project Manager will be customer-facing, necessitating the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients. The position also demands strong organizational skills, the ability to handle conflicts professionally, and a knack for identifying acceptable resolutions for all parties involved. Candidates should be comfortable with critical thinking and should be able to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required, along with at least 10 years of experience in IT project management. Candidates with experience in cloud migration, IT infrastructure, and MS Azure will be preferred, as will those with a background in medical devices. This is not a Scrum Master position, and candidates with extensive Scrum experience will not be considered.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT project management experience required.
• Experience in software project management in a waterfall setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline required.
• Experience with full life cycle IT project management.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and cloud migration preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MS Azure is a plus.
• Medical device experience is a nice to have.
• Experience in IT networking and security processes is beneficial.
