About the position

The IT Project Manager position at Roper St. Francis Healthcare is responsible for overseeing technology infrastructure projects within the IT Infrastructure department. This role involves planning, scheduling, and tracking projects related to upgrades and installations of desktop, server, telecom, and network infrastructure. The Project Manager will implement a standardized project methodology and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and track core infrastructure technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized project methodology.
  • Manage project approval, scope definition, requirements definition, and project planning.
  • Oversee budget management, risk assessment, change management, and post-implementation assessment.
  • Collaborate with system users, vendors, partner health systems, and IT staff to determine system specifications and develop work plans.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with 4 years of healthcare IT experience and 2 years of project management experience in a healthcare IT setting, or a Bachelor's degree with a combination of 4 years of healthcare IT experience including at least 2 years of project management experience.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare systems, client-server environments, Windows desktop environments, networking principles, relational database concepts, and web-based application concepts.
  • Knowledge of system life cycle development and critical thinking techniques for issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience implementing project-related changes into a 24x7 production environment.
  • Experience with IT data center technologies, including server hardware and operating systems, storage, backup, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with networking technologies and equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Experience with telecom technologies, including desk phones, cellphones, faxing, SIP routing, PBX, collaboration, and conferencing solutions.
  • Experience with end-user computing technologies, including desktop hardware and operating systems, thin-client technologies, and end-user support processes.
