About the position

The IT Project Procurement Specialist is a new role within the Office of Administration's Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) responsible for facilitating solicitation requests for various IT products and services. This position supports the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and involves communication with agencies to assess needs, implementing procurement paths, and managing contracts.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agencies to determine needs.
• Implement a proper procurement path within established guidelines.
• Facilitate the preparation of solicitation documents for IT projects and professional services.
• Issue IT project solicitations and facilitate vendor inquiries.
• Conduct evaluations of bids received with agency stakeholders and IT technical functional area stakeholders.
• Make contract awards and assist with onboarding and offboarding contracted staff when applicable.
• Handle a portfolio of established contracts to monitor for renewals, terminations, and amendments.
• Work with the MissouriBUYS system to submit contract requests.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently in assessing and managing priorities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with various groups of stakeholders.
• Self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience with computers and desktop applications including Microsoft Office products.
• General understanding of information technology organizational structures.
• Familiarity with and ability to apply Chapter 34 and Missouri's procurement rules.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and knowledge in public procurement is strongly preferred.
