About the position
The IT Project & Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects of varying sizes within the organization. This role requires a proactive individual with extensive experience in project management, capable of working independently and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful project delivery. The manager will work closely with developers, architects, and testers, and will be expected to report project status to senior management while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and implement multiple small, medium, and large projects.
- Work closely with developers, architects, and testers to create project plans.
- Collaborate across various business units to remove roadblocks.
- Utilize a wide variety of technologies and systems to implement projects.
- Report on project and portfolio status to senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvement activities to enhance team and project performance.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of solid project management experience.
- Ability to work independently and proactively on projects.
- Strong planning and tracking skills for multiple projects.
- Experience working with developers, architects, and testers.
- Ability to work horizontally across business units.
- Familiarity with various technologies such as Mainframe and COBOL.
