About the position

Tanager, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Support Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional support to one of our Fortune 500 customers. This remote position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful cutover of remote sites across the United States to a new technical solution. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a strong desire to provide top-notch service to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and preparing for customer locations, leading meetings with site personnel via phone to ensure readiness, and working with third-party vendors as needed. You will document, track, and provide updates on deployment progress for each site, while also coordinating and monitoring internal project processes. Additionally, you will develop documentation to support the requirements management process and must be adaptable to changing priorities, showing initiative and teamwork. The IT Project Support Specialist will also be expected to work across multiple projects to ensure overall project success. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare for customer locations for technical cutovers.
  • Lead meetings with customer site personnel via phone to ensure readiness.
  • Work with third-party vendors for support as required.
  • Document, track, and provide updates on deployment progress for each site.
  • Coordinate and monitor internal project processes.
  • Develop documentation in support of the requirements management process.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and show initiative in a team environment.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in IT support or customer service.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed checklists.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple parties during the cutover process.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of Windows 10 operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the IT hospitality industry.
  • Software installation experience.
  • A college degree in the IT field may be considered in lieu of experience.
