About the position

The IT Quality Analyst will be responsible for performing both manual and automated testing within the Regression team. This role involves enhancing the existing suite of tests to accommodate new Customer Service requests, analyzing issues in regression tests, and coordinating with Business Analysts or Developers for defect resolution. The position requires effective communication with team members and leads, ensuring quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated testing in the Regression team.
  • Enhance the existing suite of tests to include new Customer Service requests implemented in Production.
  • Analyze issues/errors in regression tests and coordinate with BA or Developer for defect resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and team lead.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and scripts based on software requirements.
  • Create and maintain Automated Test Frameworks for front and back-end systems/applications.
  • Write and execute manual and automated tests.
  • Implement end-to-end Test Automation tests.
  • Improve existing Test Automation Frameworks.
  • Use bug-tracking systems to submit, track, and manage defects.
  • Analyze test results and provide meaningful reports to the team.
  • Maintain software testing artifacts.
  • Create test data using queries and analyze results for tests performed.
  • Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation.
  • Work closely with manual testers or Business Analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in software testing.
  • 4+ years' experience in the industry, including experience in Medicaid.
  • Experience in Agile Software Development.
  • TSO/SQL knowledge desirable.
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies and Software Testing Lifecycle, including test planning, reporting, and metrics.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in automated testing, especially with Selenium.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze system requirements for ambiguities and discrepancies.
  • Aptitude for developing thorough test scenarios and test cases.
  • Competent database skills.
