The Automation Engineer at Delicatessen Services Co., LLC will play a crucial role in designing and developing automated scripts and functionalities using a hybrid framework. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional team members, including Business Analysts, QA Analysts, Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Developers, to fully understand the functionalities that need to be automated. The Engineer will participate in weekly meetings with various resources to discuss, develop, and demonstrate the modular progression of automation until it is fully delivered. Continuous improvement of both new and existing scripts will be a key focus, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in automation testing. The primary responsibilities of the Automation Engineer will include quality assurance automation testing and controls, specifically for Boar's Head business applications. This includes core competencies in Oracle applications such as Financials, Warehouse Management System, Order Management, Business Intelligence (OBIEE), and Custom Web applications. The Engineer will be responsible for automating manual scripts and conducting performance load testing, maximizing test coverage for critical system features, and identifying, analyzing, and resolving automation issues. The role also involves partnering with the development team to drive continuous delivery, ensuring that every code change is thoroughly tested and ready for deployment. In addition to automation testing, the Engineer will be responsible for defect management, creating and managing defects in collaboration with system analysts and the overall project team. The role requires the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve critical business issues through assigned production support assignments and tactical enhancements. The Engineer will also be expected to document manually executed test results and support overall QA activities by developing efficient, flexible, and reusable automation scripts. The position demands a proactive approach to user community needs, including standard documentation and processes, and managing requests through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
