About the position

This remote role is responsible for performing independent quality checks and developing methods to measure the quality and performance of functional testing processes. The position coordinates testing and evaluation activities to identify issues, trends, and gaps in existing programs, providing independent assessments and feedback to management. The role involves creating the Quality Assurance (QA) testing strategy and documentation, collaborating with project teams to develop project test plans, and ensuring coordination across multiple groups. Additionally, the position serves as a mentor to less experienced teammates and leads testing meetings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Writes test cases based on requirements and user stories and performs manual testing as needed.
  • Creates testing plans and test cases and loads them into the appropriate tools.
  • Participates in defect meetings and project plan routines to present analysis on current and re-tested defects.
  • Sources, compiles, and interprets data, analyzing it for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contributes to risk mitigation in the IT organization by thoroughly testing existing programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists in leading QA testing teams by creating test plans and developing testing timelines and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a Financial Services organization OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a Financial Services organization.
  • American Society for Quality certification(s) required.
