About the position

SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking an IT Quality Control Test Architect for a client in the Virginia Beach, VA area. This role is pivotal in collaborating with both business and IT partners to facilitate and support the development of detailed scope statements and high-level business requirements in various development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent documentation and communication skills, with a strong ability to gather business requirements with a high level of detail. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process is essential, along with strong project management skills. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of running low-level SQL queries for testing purposes. In this position, the primary duties will include partnering with business and IT to leverage technology for success in existing and new markets. The candidate will lead the high-level requirements development process and support the elicitation and development of both high-level and detailed business requirements for enterprise-level efforts. Collaboration with Account Managers will be crucial in identifying business opportunities and solutions, as well as defining and redesigning processes to enhance Account Manager effectiveness. The role also involves supporting the management of integrated business, functional, and technical requirements and design, including participation and oversight in defining enterprise-related processes and changes in alignment with industry standards. The candidate will be responsible for developing strategic plans and technology solutions to meet business requirements across the enterprise, addressing risks, and implementing contingency plans to resolve issues impacting business or IT objectives. Anticipating and identifying customer needs and matching products and services to fulfill those needs across large, complex technology initiatives will be a key responsibility. The candidate will serve as a liaison between business and IT, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and IT partners to develop detailed scope statements and high-level business requirements.
  • Lead the high-level requirements development process.

  • Partner with Account Managers to identify business opportunities and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or Technical institute degree.
  • Certifications in BSA, BA.
  • 10 or more years of experience leading requirements development efforts.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience.
  • Experience in facilitation.
  • Working knowledge of mainframe computer, hardware, and operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of testing/product quality processes, tools, and methods.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of technologies and ability to understand technology dependencies and manage technology integration.
  • Excellent multitasking, leadership, and managerial skills.
