About the position

The IT Resource Manager at EyeCare Partners is responsible for overseeing resource allocation and optimizing resource utilization across various projects and departments. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient delivery of projects and achieving organizational goals through strategic resource planning and management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in resource management, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project demands, resource availability, and constraints to develop effective resource allocation plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and stakeholders to understand resource requirements and project timelines.
  • Develop and implement resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals.
  • Optimize resource utilization by identifying and resolving conflicts, bottlenecks, or imbalances in resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate resource records and documentation, including resource schedules and utilization reports.
  • Monitor resource utilization trends and make proactive adjustments to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resource performance, productivity, and capacity to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in resource-related matters, including staffing and skill requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field; or an Associate's degree with supporting years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in resource management or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment in an IT organization.
  • Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation, and optimization principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using resource management software and tools to track, analyze, and report on resource utilization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strategic perspective to implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification in resource management or project management.
  • Familiarity with resource management in IT organizations.
  • Experience working in healthcare and/or start-up environments.
  • Experience utilizing resource management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze resource-related costs and budgets.
  • Experience in managing remote or geographically dispersed teams.
