The IT&S Program Manager - Scrum Master at Northwell Health is responsible for planning and implementing the strategic view of business objectives in relation to assigned Service Line projects. This role involves prioritizing projects, enforcing processes, and contributing to decisions regarding program and project direction. The Program Manager will engage with key stakeholders and clients to resolve complex issues that may arise during project execution. In this position, the Program Manager will develop, communicate, and build consensus for project goals and benefits that align with the Corporate Strategy. They will ensure that project milestones and budgetary constraints are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires managing cross-functional team engagement and alignment concerning requirements, scope, and project delivery. The Program Manager will work closely with Service Line teams, vendors, and customers to create project proposals that outline deliverables, requirements, risks, assumptions, key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities, and budgets. Collaboration with leadership is essential to build and manage the program management function in support of projects. The Program Manager will assist in defining and developing departmental-wide program management practices, governance standards, processes, and metrics. They will review high-level deliverables across assigned Service Line projects and report project status to leadership, ensuring that quality assurance procedures are followed in accordance with established methodologies for successful project execution. In addition, the Program Manager will escalate risk issues to leadership when project scope requires intervention and assist in the evaluation, re-prioritization, and redesign of project plans and objectives as necessary. They will contribute to Portfolio Management and Planning for assigned areas and collaborate with administrative leaders to enhance and deliver improved project management processes and practices. Training assigned staff in appropriate processes and documentation standards is also a key responsibility, along with managing resources including operating budgets, supplies, equipment, space, staff, and information. The role operates under general guidance, with varied work assignments requiring interpretation and independent decision-making on the course of action.
