About the position

As a SaaS Analyst on the IT SysOps Team at OpenAI, you will manage vendor relationships, oversee software procurement processes, and ensure compliance with business needs. Your role will involve coordinating with software vendors, managing data reporting, and driving the implementation of new software and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee software vendor relationships, including license audits and renewals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess and streamline software solutions.
  • Help users identify the right tools for their specific use-cases by evaluating existing vendors.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements for new applications or enhancements.
  • Coordinate incident and problem management with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to optimize application usage.
  • Configure reporting features to generate insights into business operations.
  • Develop user guides and conduct training sessions to enhance productivity.
  • Plan and implement new software systems or upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, including licenses, renewals, and contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in administering SaaS applications and managing access policies.
  • Ability to analyze and mitigate risks related to SaaS applications, including security vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to resolve application issues and manage major incidents.
  • Strong skills in gathering and analyzing requirements to align application features with business goals.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing workflow optimizations to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Adept at planning and executing software system implementations or upgrades within scope and deadlines.
  • Utilization of reporting tools to provide actionable insights into application performance.
