About the position

The IT Sales Product Manager at Caterpillar is responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide application programming and analysis projects, managing development teams, and ensuring that application programs meet business needs. This role involves leading a team of IT Managers and a Solution Lead, while also managing a global team of 200-250 people. The position requires strong leadership, strategic development, and the ability to manage complex projects and budgets effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise-wide application programming and analysis projects.
• Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development.
• Analyze and provide strategy regarding applications to ensure they meet business needs.
• Monitor and maintain adherence to quality standards.
• Lead large initiatives with complex and global teams.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure vision alignment with business partners.
• Manage budget to plan and deliver on major and minor release dates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading enterprise development/deployment teams.
• Direct development and/or deployment experience with Salesforce applications.
• Domain expertise in business applications, supply chain, and sales.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to empower teams and manage performance issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with onshore/offshore team models.
• Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, and procedures.
• Expertise with data domains.
