About the position
The IT SAP Functional Analyst (Transportation Management) is responsible for designing, building, and delivering configurations for Transportation Management modules within SAP. This role involves technical solutioning for integrating software applications and SAP implementations, collaborating closely with the Data Integration team to develop interfaces and automate solutions. The analyst will also contribute to the implementation and maintenance of systems supporting Woodgrain's SAP Transportation Management functions, ensuring alignment with the Project Management Life Cycle and engaging in blueprinting and process analysis to implement efficient business solutions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Configure Transportation Management Modules
- Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP Transportation Management (TM) with a focus on Freight Planning, Load Building, and Carrier Determination
- Lead or participate in blueprinting sessions to define scope and gather business requirements
- Document detailed specifications for the development of custom programs and testing
- Manage and perform functional, unit, regression, and integration testing for go-lives and software updates
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Applications and Business Resource Managers
- Provide customer service to end users regarding TM-related process or system issues
- Develop and revise standard operating procedures and training guides
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business (or equivalent training and experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in SAP Transportation Management
- Experience assisting in 1 large-scale ERP implementation
- Strong understanding of TM terminology and methodology
- Knowledge of SAP TM configuration and integration with other SAP modules
- Experience with configuration in SAP ECC 6.0
