About the position

Lincoln National Corporation is seeking an IT Security-Access Validation Analyst to facilitate and modernize the overall process for managing access to Lincoln systems, applications, data centers, source code management tools, databases, privileged access, and system IDs. This role is crucial in managing Lincoln's responses to new and additional validation requests from auditors and management, ensuring the proper day-to-day operation of Access Validation and Security Compliance. The analyst will partner with IT owners to determine access requirements for Lincoln applications, source code tools, and database management systems, as well as privileged access to various computing platforms. The analyst will gather access requirement information to formulate access listings for the applications, source code tools, and database management systems, and will respond to, diagnose, and resolve problems during the access validation process. This includes routine problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution. The role also involves coordinating requests for revocation of access with Information Security and/or business areas, providing customer service to internal customers, and demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to meet their needs. Additionally, the analyst will communicate access validation requirements and processes, respond to questions from Lincoln business, IT partners, and management, and provide support and solutions to managers as required during the validation process. Accurate documentation is essential, and the analyst will maintain a documentation tracker to ensure it is consistently current. The analyst will determine the priority and scope of each request to balance workload effectively and report the status of work efforts to Information Security management and other business stakeholders, ensuring that agreed timeframes are met. Furthermore, the analyst will provide subject matter expertise to team members and interface with internal and external auditors to respond to requests with information or documentation and provide walkthroughs of processes.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and modernize the overall process for access management to Lincoln systems and applications.
  • Manage Lincoln's responses to validation requests from auditors and management.
  • Ensure proper day-to-day operation of Access Validation and Security Compliance.
  • Partner with IT owners to determine access requirements for applications and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Information Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a directly related IT field.
  • Three years of experience with IT infrastructure in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in analysis and review of existing systems and applications to design new processes.
  • Ability to evaluate and configure products for optimal functionality and security.
  • Experience in identifying, creating, documenting, and implementing process improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills to create pivot tables and complex comparisons of large data sets.
  • Experience administering Basic Active Directory.
  • Experience in change management and IT vendor management.
  • Experience navigating medium to large companies with complex IT infrastructure.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analyses.
  • Experience supporting audits for finance-related audits (PCI, SOX, and/or SOC).
  • Experience recommending and implementing security controls for IT systems.
  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow, including workflow and ticketing system.
