About the position

Ark Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst 3 to join our Vulnerability Management Team in Dimondale, MI. This position is crucial for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data within our organization. As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and remediating cyber incidents and vulnerabilities identified by IT level analysts. Your role will involve collaborating with IT security specialists and managers to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. In this role, you will perform a variety of technical duties related to vulnerability management. You will plan, schedule, implement, and maintain scalable vulnerability scans using modern scanning tools tailored for high complexity devices. It is essential to ensure that these scans are conducted safely and timely, minimizing any potential impact on the scan targets. You will also troubleshoot technical issues that arise during scanning processes and support the vulnerability management scanning and reporting tools. Your responsibilities will include conducting internal vulnerability audits of servers, network devices, applications, and other critical infrastructure. You will interface with both internal and external auditors, providing them with detailed information regarding remediation efforts. Additionally, you will create integrations of vulnerability management data with other enterprise services, conducting thorough data analysis to measure the effectiveness of vulnerability remediation efforts. This will involve working with large datasets, which may include structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. You will also be expected to interface with other agencies to make recommendations aimed at improving the overall security posture and reducing the number of security-related vulnerabilities. Conducting trend analysis and creating dashboards using data scripting will be part of your daily tasks, allowing you to provide metrics on the performance of security responsibilities and controls. You will create new reports for management based on the metrics collected across multiple agencies and escalate issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT Security experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management scanning and reporting tools.
• Experience with trend analysis and creating dashboards using data scripting.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
