About the position

The IT Security Analyst (Assessments) plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems across the Ninth Circuit. This position is responsible for continuously identifying, tracking, and sharing operational IT security requirements. The analyst will support various aspects of IT security, including incident response, training, and the implementation of best practices. A significant part of the role involves assessing risks related to threats and vulnerabilities that may impact the court's IT infrastructure. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Security Analyst will regularly conduct or lead on-site IT security assessments at various court units throughout the Ninth Circuit. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of current security measures, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance the overall security posture of the organization. The analyst will work closely with court personnel to ensure compliance with established security protocols and to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization. The position requires a proactive approach to security, with the analyst expected to stay informed about the latest security trends and threats. This role is pivotal in maintaining the trust and confidence of the public in the judicial system by safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring that IT systems are resilient against potential attacks.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience working in a legal or governmental environment is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are a plus.
