About the position

The Golden State Warriors are seeking an IT Security Analyst to implement and manage security measures to protect their computer systems, networks, and data. This entry-level position involves staying informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and methodologies to prevent data loss and service interruptions. The role is based onsite in San Francisco, CA, and reports to the IT Security Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Install security measures and operate software to protect system infrastructure, including firewalls and endpoint policies
  • Monitor security systems and networks for incidents and respond, escalate, resolve, and perform root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate with the IT Operations team to identify, evaluate, and implement technical security controls
  • Manage company-wide information security education and awareness training program
  • Maintain vulnerability management by performing regular vulnerability scans and coordinating remediation
  • Coordinate with external vendors for penetration testing
  • Review and analyze testing results and assist in tracking remediation of vulnerabilities
  • Assist in routine security audits and assessments
  • Maintain information security documentation and update security policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity threats and recommend appropriate safeguards
  • Provide support on game day and/or event day setup
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of IT Security experience, preferably in a retail and/or entertainment environment
  • Security+, SSCP certifications preferred
  • Experience with PCI compliance and requirements helpful
  • Experience with endpoint protection, email security gateways, SIEM, and encryption
  • Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS
  • Basic knowledge of incident response
  • Foundational knowledge of vulnerability management
  • Experience with patch management
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience with computer network penetration testing
  • Scripting, programming, and automation skills helpful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational and project management skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Java
