About the position

The IT Security and Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's information systems and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves developing and managing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading compliance efforts to safeguard the organization's information assets. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of security and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance issues
• Investigate and resolve compliance concerns or violations
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Prepare reports for senior management regarding compliance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, compliance, or a related field
• At least 2 years in a management or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of FISMA, RMF, and TCP/IP protocols
• Experience with Splunk, DHCP, iOS, SAN, and PaaS platforms
• Familiarity with various operating systems
• Proficiency with security technologies and tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
